100 000 T/A Bio-Diesel Project Kicks off in Hebei

A 100 000 t/a bio-diesel project funded by Asia Bio-Fuel Co.,
Ltd. started construction in Wangdu county, Baoding, Hebei
province on October 17th, 2006. The project has a total
investment of US$12 million. The first phase that has already
launched has a design capacity of 30 000 t/a and will complete
at the end of 2007. The project operator is Hebei SinoBright
Bio-Fuel Co., Ltd. and the project contractor is China National
Chemical Construction Corporation.
   A new bio-diesel process developed by Asia Bio-Diesel Co.,
Ltd. on the basis of the world's advanced technologies will be
used to construct a bio-diesel plant that uses animal and plant
fats as raw materials to produce fatty acid methyl esters.
Bio-diesel produced in the project can be used as automobile fuel
and also as fine chemical raw material with extensive
applications in daily-use chemical, textile and coatings
sectors.
    Asia Bio-Fuel Co., Ltd. plans to take Wangdu Bio-diesel
Project as the model plant and construct 10 bio-diesel plants
in China mainland, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and South Asia with
an average capacity of 50 000 t/a per site in the next 3-5 years.
   Asia Bio-Fuel Co., Ltd. was jointly established by SinoBright
Bio-Energy Company Ltd. of Britain and Pan-Asia Fuel Investment
Management Co., Ltd. of Hong Kong, etc. Its head office is
located in Hong Kong.
