Al-Ti-B-Re Technology Wins Invention Patent

The project for the production of Al-Ti-B-Re intermediate alloy
through the direct electrolysis process completed by Jiangxi
University of Science and Technology has won the invention
patent of the state. As a result, the new technology for the
production of Al-Ti-B-Re intermediate alloy through the direct
electrolysis process has been developed and a new path for the
production of Al-Ti-B fining agent has been opened up in China.
   In the metallurgical sector, Al-Ti-B fining agent is mainly
produced through the aluminum hot reduction process, the counter
penetration process or the combination of both. In the new
technology oxides of elements composing， the alloy can be
directly added into conventional aluminum electrolysis cells in
industrial aluminum electrolysis conditions. The test on the
electrolysis of Al-Ti-B-Re intermediate alloy can be completed
simultaneously at one time in conventional working conditions.
The test on the crystal fineness of industrial-purity aluminum
is also conducted to ensure the crystal fineness to fully conform
to the requirements in the production of Al-Ti-B-Re intermediate
alloy. Compared with technologies used today, the new technology
has the advantages of simple process, no addition of equipment,
low cost, high aluminum yield and good fineness of alloy.
