Fast-Curing Anticorrosive Coatings


   The project for the “research on the application of
fast-curing anticorrosive coatings” that was undertaken by
Dagang Oilfield passed experts’ appraisal on September 2nd.
   The main content of the project is the research and
development of rigid polyurethane anticorrosive coatings with
a 100% solid content and their application technologies.
   Such coatings have excellent adhesion, abrasion resistance
and chemical resistance. Their coating layers have great
compactness, good permeation resistance and no pinhole. Their
price is 30% lower than imports and the application cost can also
be greatly reduced. Besides, they contain no organic volatile
matters and no hazardous substances such as amines and coal tar.
Such coatings can also be used as interior anticorrosive coating
layers in drinking water pipes and storage tanks. They feature
short curing time, strong temperature adaptability and
convenient operation.
