New SBR Varieties Pass Appraisal

Three new SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) varieties developed by
Rubber Factory of Qilu Petrochemical Company Ltd. including
SBR1516, SBR1714 and environmental friendly SBR recently passed
technical appraisal organized by Sinopec Group.
   SBR1516 is a highly styrene-combined pollution-free SBR. It
has excellent anti-skid resistance and flex stiffness. It is
extensively used in pressure-sensitive adhesives and tire bead
cord fillers.
   SBR1714 is a highly oil-extended SBR. Compared with non
oil-extended varieties, oil-extended SBR has good workability
and low heat generation. The new product developed by Qilu
Petrochemical Company Ltd. has excellent abrasion and anti-skid
resistance. It can be used in tire treads, rubber hoses and
rubber belts.
