Flame-Retarding Transparent Nitrocellulose Paints

Modified polyurethane and epoxy resin series emulsions and
water-based wood product coatings jointly developed by
Guangdong Carpoly Chemical Co., Ltd. and South China University
of Technology recently passed the provincial appraisal for new
product achievements. Flame-retarding transparent
nitrocellulose paints using nanometer powder as auxiliary agent
also passed the provincial appraisal for research achievements
in early June. It is released that the production of these new
products will create a sales revenue of nearly RMB100 million
a year.
Water-based wood product coatings have low VOC (volatile
organic compound) content and little environmental pollution.
Due to various factors, the application of water-based wood
product coatings is still quite limited in China. Water-based
wood product coatings jointly developed this time can
effectively increase the solid content in coatings and remove
the defects of water-based coatings. They have excellent
features in film hardness, water resistance and abrasion
resistance.
    Flame-retarding transparent nitrocellulose paints jointly
developed this time use nanometer powder as auxiliary agent and
combine the decoration function and the flame-retarding
function of traditional nitrocellulose paints. They are mainly
used in the decoration of wood furniture and the flame-retarding
duration can reach more than 50 seconds.
