Explosion in Tianjin Yikun Refined Chemical
On August 7th, 2006, an explosion broke out in Yikun Refined
Chemical Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. in Xinda
Industrial Area located in Jinnan District of Tianjin. The
accident caused 7 deaths and over 3 injuries.
   Tianjin Yikun Refined Chemical Industry Science & Technology
Co., Ltd. is a company with major products of synthetic
fragrances.

Fire in Zhejiang Hanbon Chemical Fiber
A big fire suddenly broke out on August 6th, 2006 in Hangzhou
Hanbon Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. located in Jinqiao Industry Zone
of Fuyang, Zhejiang province. No injury and no environmental
pollution were caused in this accident. It is released that this
company is a joint venture with major products of chemical
fibers.

Fire in Tianfu Chemical Plant in Xuzhou
On August 3rd, 2006, leakage and fire broke out at a yellow
phosphorus compression tank of Tianfu Chemical Plant in Xuzhou,
Jiangsu province. There are four yellow phosphorus compression
tanks in the yellow phosphorus department at then, but no injury
happened.

Fire in Lihong Fine Chemical Plant in Chongqing
On August 1st, 2006 a fire broke out in Lihong Fine Chemical Plant
in Chongqing. No harmful pollution was caused but two people got
injured in the accident. According to the investigation, the
accident was caused by the overwhelming pressure on the plastic
pipeline in the acid-alkali averager to make the pipeline
explode due to the high temperature. Lihong Fine Chemical Co.,
Ltd. is specialized in the research and production of sodium
carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC).
