Spent Sulfuric Acid Recycle Process

The project of "Spent Sulfuric Acid Recycle Process and Unit in
Titanium Dioxide Production", undertaken by Nantong Sunshine
Graphite Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. passed the research
achievement appraisal sponsored by Jiangsu Science and
Technology Department in Nanjing. It filled a gap in spent
sulfuric acid recycle technology and equipment in the domestic
titanium dioxide sector.
   The project has conducted the research for the first time in
China on PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) graphite composite new
materials, graphite concentration towers and tubular filters,
designed the process for pre-concentration and three-effect
vacuum concentration by waste heat from kiln tail gas, conducted
recycle of spent sulfuric acid, adopted the post-filtration and
separation process after the growth of crystals through stepwise
temperature reduction in the digester and solved the problem of
equipment blocking caused by crystal precipitation from spent
sulfuric acid.
