BUCT Develops Functional Acrylates Emulsion Paint

Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) recently
developed a high-grade nanometer acrylates architectural paint
with excellent property, environmental friendliness and low
cost.
The capacity of acrylates emulsion paints in China is quite
limited today. The product developed by Beijing BUCT has
excellent resistance to water and aging and can be extensively
used in interior and exterior decoration. As water is used as
dispersion medium in the process, there is no environmental
pollution in production and application and the product price
is also low.
   A new nanometer material called high-effect photo-catalyst
with no restriction on light source is added into the acrylates
emulsion paint. Products have no toxicity, no odor, no heavy
metal ions and no radioactive substances. Besides, as a special
nanometer material is added in the production, the film-forming
property of the functional acrylates emulsion paint is
remarkably improved. No undesired phenomena to coating films
will be caused by changes in ambient temperature and humidity.
