Immobilized Bacterial Fertilizer

The new immobilized bacterial fertilizer developed by the Oil
Crop Institute CAS has recently won the invention patent of the
state. Sodium alginate is used as the carrier for bacterial
embedding, active carbon is used as the carrier for adsorption
and calcium chloride is used as the immobilizing agent. The
absorption and rapid drying of great quantities of bacteria can
be achieved through the combination of the three. Live bacteria
can be quickly dried and stored for a long period of time in a
dormant state with no effect from environment-polluting
microbes and no mass exchange with the outside world. A granular
mechanical shield can be formed to protect bacterial fertilizer
from the effect of environment-hazardous factors. Immobilized
bacterial fertilizer can easily adapt to ecological environment
and has the features of convenient raw material availability and
simple production process. It can effectively solve some
problems in the production and application of microbial
fertilizers.
