 New Bio-Diesel Preparation Method

Dongnan University has recently made breakthrough advances in its innovative 'supported solid alkali catalyst' technology for the preparation of bio-diesel. The conversion rate of bio-diesel reaches 95%. The process uses a high-effect catalyst developed by Dongnan University itself. Catalytic reaction is conducted in a fixed bed in presence of the high-effect supported solid catalyst. The yield of bio-diesel can reach 95%.
    It is reported that the solid alkali catalyst is an environment friendly catalyst. Compared with other catalysts, it has the advantages of high activity, great selectivity, mild reaction conditions and convenient product separation.
