Polymer Nanometer High-Performance Environmental Friendly Coatings

The project of 'polymer nanometer water dispersions and high-performance environmental friendly coatings for plastic coating' undertaken by Chengdu Organic Chemicals Co., Ltd. of CAS has passed the appraisal of the experts' team.
    The project has completed the research of polymer nanometer water dispersion resins and high-performance environmental friendly coatings for plastic coatings, used modified emulsion polymerization methods and developed new technologies and new methods for the preparation of polymer nanometer water dispersions. Innovations are made in the molecular design, composition and structure of polymer nanometer resins and breakthroughs are achieved in the recipe design, application process and property evaluation of water-based coatings.
    The research, pilot test and trial production of plastic shoe heels, shoe soles, toys, electrically-driven vehicles and plastic parts of household electric appliances have been completed. Several dozen products including black high-gloss, black semi-gloss, black full-dull, colored, pearly and metallic varieties have been developed. A 600 t/a pilot test and production base of polymer nanometer water dispersion resins and water-based plastic coatings with stable and reliable production process and process flow has been established.
