Combustion in a Petroleum Mechanical Plant in BeijingOn May 7th, 2006 there was an explosion in the paint spraying workshop of a petroleum mechanical plant in Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology located in Haidian district of Beijing. Seven workers got seriously burnt in the explosion. Specific cause and relevant responsibility are being further conducted.

Explosion in a Chemical Plant in GuangdongOn May 21st, 2006 there was an explosion in a chemical plant in Maoming of Guangdong province. Two workers got badly hurt during escaping. The accident was caused by the careless operation of the workers when they were doing welding without any protection. The spark lit the 200t heavy oil tank and made it explode.

Explosion in a Chemical Plant in Suzhou    On May 15th, 2006 a sudden explosion broke out in a chemical plant in Xiangcheng district of Suzhou, Jiangsu province. The accident caused 1 death and 1 injury in the workshop.    The preliminary investigation showed that the accident was caused by the improper operation of the operator. The temperature lost control and finally resulted in the explosion of the reactor.

Fire in Ruixingtai Chemical in GuangzhouOn May 10th, 2006 Guangzhou Ruixingtai Chemical Co., Ltd. located in Guangdong province caught fire. Because of the improper store of dangerous chemicals, the accident was caused by sodium hyposulfite that got wet and reacted after the rain. More than 7 000 people made emergency evacuation and 103 people received diagnosis.

Fire in a Painting Plant in Chengdu On May 15th, 2006 a painting plant suddenly caught fire located in Chenghua district of Chengdu, Sichuan province. The preliminary investigation showed that error in storing chemicals by the plant seriously against the regulation caused the accident. More than 2 tons of substandard and waste painting products caught fire, releasing huge poisonous material.
