Transparent ABS Resin Pilot Technology

The project for the "development of transparent ABS resin pilot technology" undertaken by Petrochemical Research Institute of PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical Company recently passed appraisal. In the execution of the project, a technology for the preparation of special EBR latex for transparent ABS resin is developed. The technology has filled a gap in the domestic market. Specific property indexes have also been defined. When raw materials used in the preparation are completely the same with conventional ABS, through technical optimization the consumption of latex is remarkably increased and the total sewage discharge is greatly reduced. Transparent ABS resin is a new ABS product with extensive applications in automobiles, household electric appliances and daily-use articles.
