Technology for the Synthesis of 3-Hydroxyl carboxylate

The Institute of Chemistry and Physics CAS has recently developed a new technology for the synthesis of 3-hydroxylcarboxylate from epoxy compounds. The technology can be extensively used in food packing, health and pharmaceutical sectors to replace traditional plastic products. It is a new low-cost process for the commercial synthesis of such chemicals. Defects in the existing 3-hydroxyl carboxylate synthesis process such as long process flow, complicated reaction, toxicity of some raw materials and serious pollution are removed and a gap in the domestic research is bridged.
