 New Metal Anti-corrosion Agent Developed

Modified inositol hexaphosphate, an environmental friendly multi-functions metal corrosion-mitigating agent, recently was successfully developed by Kangzhuang New Resouce Technology Research Center, Yutian, Hebei province. This corrosion-mitigating agent can substitute chromates and cyanides in carrying out passivation without chrome and electroplating free of cyanides, which has got actual effect in application. Modified inositol hexaphosphate, made by inositol hexaphosphate through modification and further processing, has excellent anti-corrosion and anti-rust performances as well as wide application range. From application samples, modified inositol hexaphosphate has been proved to substitute nitrites, inorganic phosphates, molybdenates and zinc salt for water-based anti-rusting agent that can prevent black metals, non ferrous metals and alloy materials from being rusted when they are in the period of processing intervals or sealing storage. It provides anti-rusting period as long as three months to twelve months.
