High-Effect Microbial Insecticide Developed

The Life Science School of Hunan Normal University has recently developed a high-effect Bathurin ‘green’ insecticide for the use in agricultural production.      Hunan Normal University has made a comprehensive application of the microbial engineering technology, the fermentation engineering technology and the bioengineering technology, cultivated high-effect, quick-effect and lasting-effect Bathurin insecticide strains, conducted orthogonal design screening, optimized fermentation conditions, established new fermentation production process flow, studied insecticide synergists, effect fortification technology and quality standard and determined insecticide spectrum and field application technology system. Research and explanation on the toxalbumin molecular biological feature, the insect-killing mechanism and the gene localization of the insecticide crystal has also been made.
