Scrap Foam Plastics Used to Produce Polystyrene Sheets

The extruded polystyrene sheet production line in Quzhou Andi Co., Ltd. can consume more than 2 000 tons of scrap foam plastic packing materials a year. The production cost is nearly 50% lower than the use of new plastic materials.     The company has used its own intellectual property right and also assimilated advanced technologies from the United States and Europe in the development and production. It has made an investment of over RMB5.0 million and constructed an extruded polystyrene sheet production line to recover and use scrap foam plastics. Extruded polystyrene sheet produced by the company from reclaimed plastics have already passed the quality test conducted by Shanghai Academy of Architecture Sciences.     Extruded polystyrene sheet with a thickness of 2mm can have thermal insulation effect equivalent to hollow bricks with a thickness of 37 mm and sand-lime bricks with a thickness of 52mm. Extruded polystyrene sheet can therefore be used as excellent insulation materials.
