Microbial Process to Treat Oil Refining Waste Water

The optimal control of microbial strains and the production and application of high-effect anaerobic/aerobic bacteria reactors in the high-effect excellent strain cultivation and treatment system, two major topics in water pollution control technology and treatment engineering of the state, have recently passed acceptance appraisal.      In the research on the optimal control of microbial strains Chengdu Institute of Biology CAS has screened high-effect functional strains, conducted research on their degradation mechanisms and application methods and developed quite a few strains suitable for the use in the treatment of oil refining and dyeing/printing waste water and their high-density fermentation process. The institute has also constructed a production line with considerable scale, made demonstrative application in oil refining waste water treatment projects and established a molecular biological method for the supervision and control of microbial strains in the waste water treatment system.      The research team for the production and application of high-effect anaerobic/aerobic bacteria reactors has produced high-effect anaerobic/aerobic integrated bacteria reactors, developed new polymer carriers and microbial strains and conducted reactor engineering demonstration.
