High-Purity Zinc Oxide Production through Ammonia Process

The technology for the production of high-purity zinc oxide through the ammonia process developed by the Institute of Process Engineering, CAS has passed the test made by the National Inorganic Salt Testing Center and all indexes have reached relevant standards. Test results show that compared with the traditional acid process the use of the ammonia process in the high-purity zinc oxide production can greatly reduce the production cost and increase the product grade.   Zinc oxide is an indispensable additive in rubber, chemical fertilizer, pharmaceutical, chemical fiber and petrochemical sectors. It can react with trace fatty acid to generate zinc soap so that the coating film can become firm and resist water penetration and metal rust corrosion.    When it is used as rubber additive, it has better behavior than indirect-process zinc oxide in shortening rubber curing time and improving rubber weather resistance and tensile strength.
