Data Base for Projects to Be Constructed
               and under Construction in China
With the further imple- mentation of  theopen- ing  policy,
many foreign companies have put more investment in  China.
Many domestic chemical enterprises have also  strengthened
project construction. In accordance  with  the  provisions
defined by the State Development and Planning  Commission,
foreign-funded projects with  an  investment  of  over  30
million U.S. dollars have to be approved  by  the  Central
  Government.   To  effect  a  better  communication  among
  domestic  and  foreign   companies   concerning   project
investment, CCR,  in  collaboration  with  the  Investment
Institute of the State Development and Planning Commission
, has developed a data base for  projects  approved  to  be
constructed and already under construction from  September
1998. Following is a brief introduction  of  the  projects
related to the chemical industry, petrochemical  industry,
  pharmaceutical  industry,   light  industry  and  plastic
