80 000 T/A Expandable Polystyrene
           Project Starts Construction in Ningbo
The 80 000 t/a expandable polystyrene project  of  Zhejiang
Ningbo Xinqiao Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. has  recently
started construction in Ningbo Economic and  Technological
Development Zone. It has a total investment of 20 million U.
S. dollars and an annual output value of around 600 million
yuan. The project will be completed in August 2000.
  Ningbo Xinqiao Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. is the sixth
wholly-owned enterprise established by Taiwan Jianlong  in
China mainland. After the project starts production,   the
Taiwan company will have an annual expandable  polystyrene
output of 240 000 tons and a total annual output value of 2.
0 billion yuan in China mainland.
