Nickel-Hydrogen Cell Production
             Base to Be Established in Tianjin
Nickel-hydrogen cell production is a major project  of  the
State "863" Plan. Tianjin Heping Haiwan Power Source Group
Co., Ltd. has been approved by the Ministry of Science and
Technology and the Ministry of Information Industry to  be
a demonstrative base of nickel- hydrogen  cell  production
for the  State  "863"  Plan.   The  company  will  combine
technology introduction with self-development, make  major
breakthroughs in  key  technologies  and  quickly  form  a
capacity of 45 million pcs/a nickel-hydrogen cells.
