150 000 T/A Heavy Soda Ash
               Unit Up to Standard in Sichuan
China's first 150 000 t/a heavy soda ash unit  in- troduced
from Japan is proved  to  be  up  to  standard  after  the
assessment, filling the gap of  domestic  heavy  soda  ash
production by the extrusion process.
  The unit is  introduced  from  Japan  by  Sichuan  Zigong
Honghe Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. with an investment of
28 million yuan. It can produce more than 20 tons of heavy
soda ash an hour. The production capacity has reached  the
design capacity and the product quality tallies  with  the
indexes in the contract. The dust discharge is lower  than
the required amount. The per-ton power  consumption  is  3
KwH lower than similar foreign equipment. The product  has
an even granularity and an excellent color and reaches the
national quality standard.
