Process Package of 30 000T/A
            Methylamine Units Passing Appraisal
The  process  package  of  30  000t/a   methylamine   units
developed by Shanghai Research Institute of  Petrochemical
Industry passed technical  appraisal  conducted  by  China
Petrochemical Corporation in early August.
Methylamine is an important organic chemical product.   The
existing domestic units are  small,   the  biggest  design
capacity being only 8 000 t/a. They have  high  production
cost  and  the  product  can  hardly  participate  in  the
  international  competition.   Based  on  the   industrial
application of A-6 methylamine catalyst and other patented
technologies, as well  as  the  successful  experience  in
capacity expansion of the methylamine reactor from  5  000
t/a  to  12  000  t/a,   Shanghai  Research  Institute  of
Petrochemical Industry has completed the  process  package
of 30 000 t/a methylamine units.
