First Domestic Bronze Condenser Manufactured
The first domestic bronze  condenser,   key  equipment  in
cellulose  acetate  units,   is  manufactured  in  Chemical
Machinery Works of Nanjing Chemical Industrial Group.
The domestic  production  of  cellulose  acetate  uses  the
  foreign  patented  technology.   Due  to  high  technical
requirements and great  manufacturing  difficulties,   key
equipment bronze  condensers  have  to  be  imported  from
abroad for long years. The bronze  condenser  manufactured
in China has a diameter of 1.42 meters and a length of 6.8
meters. The major material  is  silicon  bronze  and  some
parts of the condenser are  made  of  carbon  steel.   The
condenser is manufactured according to the ASME codes.
The bronze  condenser  will  be  supplied  to  the  biggest
cellulose acetate producer Nantong Cellulose Acetate Co. ,
Ltd., a joint venture between China and the United States.
