Two Phthalic Anhydride Projects Start Construction
It is reported that two 40 000 t/a phthalic anhydride units
, one in Jinzhou Petrochemical Corporation and the other in
Jinling Petrochemical Corporation, have  recently  started
construction.
The project in Jinling Petrochemical Corporation will start
production in September 1999, and the project  in  Jinzhou
Petrochemical Corporation will start production in May 2000.
  These  two  projects  will  use  the  latest   technology
introduced from Lurgi  of  Germany.   They  are  the  only
phthalic anhydride units in China using Lurgi technology.
