Biggest Road Asphalt Unit Starts Production
The 400 000 t/a  high  quality  road  asphalt  unit  starts
production in Jiangyin. It is  the  biggest  road  asphalt
unit in China.
The Asphalt Factory funded by  East  China  Xingneng  Group
started construction in  July  1997  and  completed  trial
production on March 20 this year. With the  high  tide  in
the construction of high-grade  highways  in  China,   the
demand of high quality road asphalt has kept increasing in
the recent years. The import amount of asphalt reached 800
000 tons in 1997, spending 150 million U.S. dollars.
