Titaning Chemical Technology Co., Have a Good Journey

As early as 1994 I heard of  a  new  company  in  Zhengzhou
which enjoyed  quite a bit    of  prestige  in  the  paper
-making sector. In business contacts in the recent years  I
have often seen reports on the  new  developments  of  the
company. The reporter of CCR therefore went  to  Zhengzhou
the other day and made a visit to the company.
Located in the "green city" of the Central China Zhengzhou,
Titaning Chemical Technology Co. is a high  and  new- tech
enterprise based on  the  development  and  production  of
paper-making chemicals and comprising  science,   industry
and trade. It has three subsidiary  economic  entities  of
Rixin Research Institute of Chemical  Industry,   Titaning
Chemical Machinery Works and Grinding Stock and  Equipment
Factory. The main business scope includes paper-making aids,
printing aids, surfactants,  chemical  machinery  and  PVA
grinding wheels.
The Head Office of the company is mainly engaged  in  paper
-making  chemicals.   It  successfully  developed  cationic
highly-free dispersing rosin size in 1989, and constructed
a 1 000 t /a production line in the same year. It  is  the
first company in China to make  commercial  production  of
rosin size. The company has a 5 000 t/a capacity of  rosin
size today and its market share  is  among  the  first  of
similar products. "Green Oxygen" is another major  product
developed by the company  in  the  recent  year.   It  has
launched a green revolution in the  history  of  digestion
pulping. The product has the features of high  efficiency,
no toxicity, no pollution,   short  digestion  time,   low
production cost,   high  pulp  whiteness,   low  bleaching
frequency and low bleaching liquid consumption,   and  has
therefore won the  trust  of  users.   Many  paper- making
publications have made reports on the product  and  called
it "green digestion aid".
Other products of  the  company  include  modified  starch,
"Alumy" and white color developing liquid. Modified starch
is a new paper-making aid developed in  the  recent  years
and is  extensively  used  in  retention  and  filtration,
internal and surface neutral sizing in paper making. It is
easily biodegradable and therefore tallies with the recent
upsurge of green revolution. The product is a hot spot for
development both at home and abroad.   "Alumy"  is  a  new
retention synergist for sizing agent aluminum sulfate.  It
can greatly reduce the consumption  of  aluminum  sulfate,
improve the whiteness and strength of paper, increase  the
pulp retention rate and  reduce  "white"  pollution.   The
development of white color developing liquid has  improved
the whiteness and strength of paper, and made a  key  step
forward in the paper-making sector.
Rixin Research Institute of  Chemical  Industry  is  mainly
engaged in the development of surfactants. R-3 and  B- 202
emulsifiers were awarded the title of "high and  new- tech
product" in 1995 and the title of "national  new  product"
in 1996. The institute was defined as "high and  new- tech
enterprise" by Henan Science and Technology Commission  in
1996. The capacity of R-3 and B-202 has reached 3 000 t/a.
Another major product of the  institute  is  "Rush"  brand
printing aid series. The institute produces and  sells  PS
board wetting powder, positive developing and fixing liquid,
PS board protecting size,  board  cleaning  paste  and  PS
board developing powder.
Titaning Chemical Machinery Works mainly undertakes  design
and processing of large chemical machinery and  equipment.
There are 168 senior engineers in the factory. The  design
and processing tasks for various machinery projects of the
state have been fulfilled in these years.
Grinding Stock and Equipment Factory is also  an  important
part of the company. PVA grinding wheels produced  by  the
factory can replace  imported  products,   and  the  sales
volume is increasing year by year.
General Manager Niu Hua said  in  the  interview  that  the
company will develop itself into a  group  corporation  on
  the  strength  of  advanced  research,   production   and
telecommunication equipment, complete testing devices  and
strong technical force.
