Alcohol Ether Production Base Established
Jiangyin Yida Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. of Jiangsu only
has a history of one year and  a  half  in  production  of
alcohol ether series, but has already formed a capacity of
8 000 t/a.
Alcohol ether series are transparent liquids mainly used as
solvent and diluent in greases, synthetic resins and  high
-grade coatings, as  dyeing  aid  in  leather  tanning  and
chemical fibers, and as  high  boiling  point  solvent  in
various organic chemical products. They are important  raw
materials in production of fuel  anti- freezing  additives
for airplanes and braking fluids for automobiles. Triethyl
glycol methyl ether and tetraethyl glycol methyl ether, in
particular, are major raw materials in production of  high
-grade braking fluids.
The  products  of  the  company  can  basically  meet   the
production needs in various  domestic  sectors,   and  the
company has become the biggest  alcohol  ether  production
base in China.
