Project of 1 Million Sets/A Radial Tires
                     to Be Constructed in Xinjiang
A radial tire project to be constructed in Xinjiang has  recently  been
approved by the State Development & Planning Commission.  The  project
will have a capacity of 1 million sets a year, including 600 000  sets
of heavy truck tires, 200 000 sets of light truck tires  and  200  000
sets of sedan tires. The total investment is around 1.1386 billion yuan.
There are no radial tire units in the five provinces of Northwest China.
After the completion of the project,  the  products  can  satisfy  the
demand in the region and also be exported  to  surrounding  countries.
