 Oiltanking Builds New Chemical Terminal in Daya Bay

On July 21, 2005, Oiltanking GmbH announced that the first phase of its new chemical terminal in the Daya Bay Petrochemical Industrial Park, Huizhou, Guangzhou province started construction, and would complete in March 2006.   Oiltanking Daya Bay Company has signed a long-term contract with Huizhou MMA Corporation Ltd. to cater for all their off-site storage and handling requirements for their MMA plant, which is presently under construction. Phase I will comprise 4 tanks with a total capacity of 15 550 cubic meters.   The construction of the terminal and the pipeline infrastructure has been awarded to Chengda Engineering Corporation.   Oiltanking Daya Bay Company is the exclusive provider of independent tank storage services in the Daya Bay Petrochemical Industrial Park and aims to develop the facilities into a world-scale integrated industrial terminal providing services to all tenants in the park. Additionally Oiltanking and Rotary Engineering of Singapore will jointly own and operate common pipe rack facilities in the park inter-connecting its tenants.   Oiltanking, a division of German Marquard & Bahls AG, is the second-largest independent tank storage provider for petroleum products, chemicals and gases world-wide. Oiltanking owns and operates 71 terminals in 19 countries in Europe, North and South America, and Asia. The group has an overall capacity 11.1 million cubic meters.
