1.2 Million T/A Coal-Based Methanol Project Launched

The 1.2 million t/a coal-based methanol project jointly funded by Inner Mongolia Ximeng Group Co., Ltd. and Shendong Tianlong Group Co., Ltd. launched recently.    The project is located in the industry zone south of Dalu New District, Zhunger Banner, Erdos City of Inner Mongolia. It has a total design capacity of 1.2 million t/a coal-based methanol and a total investment of RMB4.6 billion. The first phase has a capacity of 2 X 300 000 t/a and an investment of RMB2.5 billion. The second phase has a capacity of 1 X 600 000 t/a. The project will use advanced and well-developed production process technology. After the completion of the first phase, the sales revenue will be RMB911.74 million and the profit will be RMB306.0 million. After the completion of the whole project, the sales revenue will reach RMB1.76 billion and the profit before tax will reach RMB870 million.      The project is intended to use rich coal reserves in Erdos, extend coal industrial chain, increase product added value, achieve coal local transformation, expand coal marketing channel and lessen traffic pressure.      Ximeng Group Co., Ltd. is a private enterprise mainly engaged in coal production and sales. It owns 10 coal mines and produces and sells more than 3.0 million tons a year. Refined coal produced in the company has high heating value, high volatile matter content, high carbon content, low phosphorus content and low ash content.
