Xylose Production Base in Henan

Henan Tangyin County Yuxin Co., Ltd. and Danisco of Denmark have made a joint investment of over RMB80 million and established Danisco Sweetener (Anyang) Co., Ltd. and a xylose production base. The project can consume more than 50 000 tons of corncob in Henan and surrounding areas and produce 10 000 tons of xylose a year. The output value can reach RMB220 million and the profit and tax can reach RMB40 million.      The company has also processed xylose baggage into edible fungi. In this way the pollution problem is solved and the industrial chain is extended. Great quantities of the residue after the cultivation of edible fungi are used as base material for vegetable sprout cultivation or organic fertilizer for farmland. The comprehensive utilization of refuses is therefore achieved.
