Capacity Expansion in MTBE Combined Unit

The capacity expansion project in the MTBE (methy tert-butyl ether) combined unit of Hongli Chemical Plant, a subsidiary of Luoyang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is recently completed, and qualified products are produced. After the completion of the project, the MTBE capacity and the isobutene capacity in the plant have reached 40 000 t/a and 15 000 t/a respectively.      The combined unit mainly produces MTBE and isobutene. The initial capacity of the unit was 20 000 t/a MTBE and 3 000 t/a isobutene. The unit started production in July 2004.      The total investment of the capacity expansion project is RMB20 million. After the completion of the project, the sales revenue can reach RMB70 million and the profit will be RMB7 million a year.
