Intermediate Handing-over of the Fertilizer Feedstock Renovation Project

The chemical fertilizer feedstock renovation project in Sinopec Jinling Petrochemical Company Ltd. conducted intermediate handing-over on May 28. It is the first large chemical fertilizer unit in Sinopec that has changed the feedstock from light naphtha to petrol coke and coal. 　　After the completion of the project, around 200 000 tons of light naphtha can be saved and 320 000 tons of sulfur-containing petrol coke generated from sour crude processing can be used a year. Besides, 30 000 tons of hydrogen can be supplied to the oil refining unit a year and the cost of hydrogen is only one third of the cost using the traditional hydrogen preparation method. The ability of the company for sour crude processing and risk withstanding is therefore further strengthened.
