100 000 T/A Hydrogen Peroxide Project Starts Production

The 100 000 t/a hydrogen peroxide project funded by Liming Research Institute of Chemical Industry has started production in Luoyang Jili District, Henan province. The project has a total investment of RMB150 million. It is expected that the sales revenue will be RMB110 million and the total profit will be RMB30 million a year.      The anthraquinone process for the production of hydrogen peroxide in a fixed bed is the most influential technology developed by Liming Research Institute of Chemical Industry. The hydrogen peroxide refining and concentration technology got the invention patent of the state in 2003.      With the WTO accession, the demand of hydrogen peroxide in China has kept increasing. In the textile sector hydrogen peroxide is being used to replace chlorine in the bleaching of textiles to reduce water pollution caused by chlorine bleaching and improve product grade. In the papermaking sector the demand of hydrogen peroxide is also making a constant increase. Most of the large pulp-making units constructed in recent years use hydrogen peroxide in bleaching. Besides, the demand of hydrogen peroxide has also presented a sound development trend in environmental protection, electronic and food sectors.
