400 000 T/A PVC Project Starts Construction

The ceremony for the startup of the 400 000 t/a PVC project and the completion of the 20 000 t/a metal sodium expansion project in Jilantai Salt Chemical Group Co., Ltd. of China National Salt Industry Corporation located in Inner Mongolia was held in Usitai Industry Park of Inner Mongolia Alashan League on June 28.      It is reported that the PVC project has a total investment of RMB5.96 billion. It will be executed in two phases and completed and put on stream in three years. The sales revenue will reach RMB3.0 billion at that time. The development of chemical enterprises using PVC and caustic soda as raw materials will be promoted and the industrial chain will be extended.      The 20 000 t/a metal sodium expansion project has a total investment of RMB103 million. It uses the production technology introduced from DuPont of the United States. After the completion of the project, the output of metal sodium in Lantai Industrial Co., Ltd. has reached 45 000 tons a year.
