Coking Project Starts Construction

The first phase of Huaibei Linhuan Coking Co., Ltd., the largest coking project in Anhui, started construction in Linhuan New District on June 26.     It is a project that first started construction in the overall coal chemical and salt chemical integrated project of Huaibei Coal Field Group Co., Ltd. Huaibei Linhuan Coking Co., Ltd. is jointly established by Huaibei Coal Field Group Co., Ltd., Shanghai Coking & Chemical Corporation, Nanjing Iron & Steel Group Company, Hangzhou Iron & Steel Group Company and Minmetals Development Co., Ltd. It has a registered capital of RMB600 million and a total capital stock of 600 million shares. Huaibei Coal Field Group Co., Ltd. subscribes RMB306 million and holds 51% equity. The other 4 shareholders hold 49% equity. The first phase will have a capacity of 2.2 million t/a coke and 200 000 t/a methanol. The second phase will increase the capacity by 2.2 million t/a coke and 200 000 t/a methanol. The total capacity will therefore reach 4.4 million t/a coke and 400 000 t/a methanol.
