Lysine Project Starts Construction

The 200 000 t/a lysine project funded by East Hope Group in Hope Industrial Park of Baotou National Rare-Earth Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone started construction on May 7. The project has a total investment of RMB1.5 billion and will be executed in four phases. The first phase has an investment of RMB100 million and a construction cycle of 8 months. After the completion of the first phase, the output will reach 20 000 tons, the sales revenue will be RMB350 million and the sales profit will be RMB20 million a year. After the whole project reaches the design capacity, the sales revenue can reach RMB3.3 billion and the sales profit can reach RMB200 million a year.   The lysine project funded by East Hope Group mainly produces feed additives. The production is based on biological fermentation technology. The whole process flow is in a closed loop with no discharge of sewage. A rational use of thermal coupling and thermal pumping technology is also made to greatly reduce energy consumption.
