Dongyue Continues to Construct F-Si Materials Project

On May 19, the second phase of Dongyue International Fluorine-silicone Material Industry Zone in Zibo, Shandong province was started to construction by Dongyue Chemical Company (Dongyue Group) with an investment of RMB1.2 billion. That included a production line of 500 t/a perfluoro ion exchange resin and ion membrane, as well as the renovation project of 20 000 t/a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and 30 000 t/a Dongyue-Tsinghua environmental friendly refrigerant. The scheduled startup will come in 2 years. As the first commercial production line in China, the 500 t/a perfluoro ion exchange resin and ion membrane unit will mainly manufacture perfluoro sulfonic acid resin and perfluoro carboxylic acid resin.
