Refined Nickel Sulfate Project

The 30 000 t/a refined nickel sulfate project in Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd. has recently started construction in Jinchang city, Gansu province. The project has a total investment of nearly RMB200 million. After the completion, nickel sulfate produced in the company will be used in high-end sectors such as chemical plating, precision electroplating and electric cells. Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd. will also become the biggest nickel salt production base in the world. The project will be completed and put on stream at the end of September 2005.    The supply shortage of nickel sulfate in the domestic market is more than 30 000 tons a year today.
