1.0 Billion M3/A Capacity in Daniudi Gas Field under Construction

Sinopec North China Company announced in Erdos on March 27 that the construction of the 1.0 billion m3/a capacity in Daniudi Gas Field was launched.    In the natural gas exploration north of Erdos in Xinjiang, proven reserves of over 50 billion m3 have been reported for 3 consecutive years. The total proven reserves have reached 261.571 billion m3 and the tertiary reserves amount to 557.177 billion m3. A guarantee of resources has been provided for large-scale development. A scheme for the construction of the 1.0 billion m3/a capacity on the basis of first-stage tests and developments have been formulated and approved. The first development wells have achieved better results than expected. The average per-well open-flow capacity has reached 160 000 m3 a day and a good start has been made for the construction of the 1.0 billion m3/a capacity. The construction of the gas transmission pipeline from Daniudi to Yulin and matched ground facilities was launched before schedule and is in smooth progress today. According to the requirements of Sinopec, the Daniudi-Yulin transmission pipeline and matched facilities will be completed at the end of May. Debugging and trial running will be conducted in June and gas supply will start in July. The amount of gas supplied to Beijing and Shandong will reach 3.0 million m3 at the end of November.      The construction of the 1.0 billion m3/a capacity in Daniudi is the biggest natural gas development project of Sinopec after its reformation.
