Avermectin Project Launhed in Ningxia   

According to the information disclosed by a high-level leader of Ningxia Duoweitairui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the company had put an investment of RMB1.0 billion and started the construction of the world’s biggest avermectin workshop on March 1, 2005. The design of the workshop is already completed and the production is expected to start on Dec. 31 this year. The workshop has forty 500t tanks. The single-variety fermentation volume is 20 000 m3. It can produce 3 000 tons of avermectin and series products a year with an annual output value of RMB4.0 billion. The project has introduced advanced production processes and 7 000 fermentation units of strains from abroad. The open-type workshop and the advanced insulation scheme have greatly reduced investment cost and construction cycle. Both the product quality and the low-cost production are ensured. Products have strong competitiveness in the international market. The project is located in Ningxia in the western part of China.
