Pipeline of Naphtha Supplied by Gaoqiao to Secco Completed  

The pipeline of naphtha supplied by Gaoqiao Petrochemical Co., Ltd. to Secco has recently been put in use. The supply amount is 170 tons an hour and 4 000 tons a day. The pipeline is operating at full capacity every day.     In July 2002 Sinopec decided to construct a 114km naphtha pipeline from Gaoqiao Petrochemical Co., Ltd. to Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. via Secco. The purpose was to supply bulk naphtha to the 900 000 t/a ethylene unit in Secco located in Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone so as to optimize the utilization of resources. The 95km section with the coastal oil depot of Gaoqiao as the first station and Secco as the last station is a major project in the economic performance improvement plan made by Gaoqial Petrochemical Co., Ltd. for 2005.
