Successful Wet Commissioning in Oil Refining Expansion Project

With the production of qualified products in the hydrocracking unit on March 26, all the units in Zhanjiang Dongxing Oil Refining Expansion Project located in Guangdong, an economically advanced region in South China, achieved successful wet commissioning. The 5.0 million t/a atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit, the 500 000 t/a continuous reforming unit, the 1.2 million t/a hydrocracking unit and the heavy oil catalytic cracking expansion unit have started normal operation. New and improved utility systems are making synchronous running.    The management mode combining PMC run by IMT with EPC is used to exercise all process control on safety, quality, progress, investment and contract. The project has the features of the greatest construction speed, the smallest construction investment and the newest construction management mode. (CCR2004, No. 2)   Zhanjiang Dongxing Petrochemical Co., Ltd. was included in Sinopec in March 2002. The expansion project was launched in October 2002 (CCR2002, No. 10).
