On November 21, Lihuayi Weiyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. made an announcement regarding the full completion of its 600 000 t/a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit, which has successfully produced qualified products and entered the trial production stage.

Once the unit reaches its full capacity, it will newly add 600 000 t/a of propylene and 24 600 t/a of hydrogen. Propylene products can be used as raw materials for the company's existing phenol acetone units and the 300 000 t/a direct oxidation propylene oxide unit that is currently under construction. The commissioning of the project will further extend the company's industrial chain, achieve independent supply of raw material propylene, and improve the convenience, security and cost-effectiveness of raw materials supply.
