On December 21, 2020, Saudi Aramco subsidiary Saudi Aramco Development Company signed an agreement with Cognite AS to establish a joint venture, which is forecast to be put into operation in 2021 and serves customers in the areas of petroleum, natural gas, electricity, public utility, manufacturing, transportation, etc.

The new JV will help customers achieve digital transformation via providing digital solutions helpful to optimize rates of finished products, offer predictive maintenance, take advanced safety measures, reduce environmental footprints, etc. While making use of advanced Cloud managed data and AI, Saudi Aramco will utilize Cognite Data Fusion as core technologies.
