The Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council extended anti-dumping duties on acetone originating from Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan by another five years, beginning June 8.

Duty rates are the same as those set in 2008, 2010 and 2014. The rate of 51.6% applies to most firms. There are seven exceptions – Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (7.2%), Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (12.1%), Mitsui Phenols Singapore Pte. Ltd. (6.7%), LG Chem, Ltd. (5%), Kumho P&B Chemicals, INC. (4.3%), Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corporation (6.2%) and Taiwan Prosperity Chemical Corporation (6.5%).
