On December 6, 2019, Guangxi Qinzhou Ecological and Environmental Bureau solicited public opinions over the EIA approval of Guangxi Huayi New Materials’ 200 kt/a bisphenol A (BPA) project. Located in Guangxi Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park, the project will include a 230 kt/a cumene plant, a 280 kt/a phenol/acetone plant, a 200 kt/a BPA plant and supporting public facilities such as circulating water stations and substations.
