Foshan city is to implement its first Safety Management Regulation for Hazardous Chemicals on October 1, detailing responsibilities of the municipal government, district governments and sub-district offices. It establishes access/exit mechanisms and joint approval systems for hazardous chemicals firms. Further, it specifies requirements regarding safety management agency, safety risk assessment, potential risks identification, etc. of the enterprises engaged in hazardous chemicals.
